Seduce visitors by artistic meaningful curves and bend a curve in their minds

Exhibizone delightfully presents Curves 2024, the 2nd annual juried exhibition to celebrate beauty and versatility of curves in art.

Curves with their graceful arcs and fluid lines, have long been an intriguing subject for artists throughout history.

Curves are those wavy bends, spirals, circles, swirls, or s-shapes lines that change direction gradually and can convey energy with a sense of movement and fluidity to create a gentle feeling of beauty, ease and comfort. They also illustrate the fluid movement of water and communicate a sensual sense as they remind us of the human body.

Curved lines are often used in art to create a sense of movement and to add interest and beauty to the artwork's composition. The "line of beauty" or "serpentine line", a known theory in art, is frequently used to describe the S-shaped curves appearing in a piece of art.

For Curves 2024, the subject is free, and we encourage artists to explore the diverse interpretations of curves. Whether you choose to depict organic curves found in nature, artificial ones made by humans, abstract curves that evoke emotions, or the elegant curves of the human body.

Bend a curve for visitors, and share artworks that create a sense of beauty, ease, and comfort in their minds with curves including, not limited to:

Curves in Nature: Curves in nature are in almost everything and everywhere, from pathways, firepits, and petals of the flowers, to clouds, leaves, tree branches, rippling water in a pond, rocks and boulders, and in captivating landscapes highlighting winding rivers, rolling hills, curvaceous bodies of water, or tangled curves of botanical elements.

Man-made Curves: Exploring the intricate curves of architectural marvels and modern skyscrapers or numerous objects from everyday life, such as cars, bicycles, and other still-lifes.

Abstract Curves: Dynamic and flowing curves that embrace the concept of curves and challenge the known smooth forms.

Human body Curves: A life-long inspiration of artistic work, sensual and elegant curves of human bodies convey emotions and reveal the essence of our existence.
